ParishGames Terms of use

ParishGames

Terms of use

Contract between you and Dashboard Executive, LLC for ParishGames (parishgames.com). Last updated 5 October 2026. The contract language is English.

1. Who we are

Dashboard Executive, LLC (United States) operates ParishGames. Contact: the contact form.

If you live in the EEA or UK and use ParishGames as a consumer, you keep every mandatory right your country gives you. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

2. The service

ParishGames lets youth group leaders host faith games for Catholic youth groups on a room screen. TheWord is free. FaithGrid, Verse Race, and future host games are included with Lifetime. The host runs the game; players take part in the room under the host’s supervision.

3. Host accounts

You must be an adult (18 or older) to create a host account or buy Lifetime. Use a real email you control and keep your sign-in to yourself. Host accounts are not for children, and you should not create an account for a child. You are responsible for supervising the youth group while you run a game and for choosing content that fits your group.

You may delete your account on the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or harms the service or other people, and we will give notice where the law requires.

4. Lifetime purchase

Lifetime is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Nothing renews and you will not be charged again. The price is shown in US dollars before you pay; taxes may be added at checkout where they apply. Stripe processes the payment.

Lifetime unlocks FaithGrid, Verse Race, and future host games that we label as included with Lifetime, for as long as we operate ParishGames. TheWord is always free. “Lifetime” refers to the life of the ParishGames service, not a person’s lifetime. Today the unlock is recorded in the browser where you finish checkout. If you change devices or clear your browser storage, contact us with your Stripe receipt and we will restore access.

If something goes wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will work to put it right. Refunds are otherwise at our discretion, except where the law gives you a right to one.

5. If you live in the EEA or UK: cooling off

You may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. Lifetime is digital content supplied right away. If you ask us to supply it within those 14 days (for example by opening a Lifetime game), you acknowledge that you may lose the right to withdraw once supply has begun, to the extent consumer law allows. If you withdraw in time and are owed a refund, we refund through Stripe.

6. Acceptable use

Do not scrape ParishGames, probe it for vulnerabilities, overload it, get around the Lifetime unlock, resell or redistribute the games or their content, or use the service for anything illegal or to harm others. Do not enter other people’s personal information into games, and do not use the contact form to send spam.

7. Content and Scripture

Scripture passages are from the Douay-Rheims Bible and are labeled as such. Clues, prompts, hints, and word lists are written to support youth group games and may contain mistakes or simplifications. The games are ministry aids for fellowship and learning. They are not catechesis on their own, not sacramental or pastoral direction, and not legal advice. Please follow your parish’s and diocese’s guidance for youth groups and safe environment.

Content you enter (for example team names or custom clues) stays on your device. You keep it, and you must have the right to use it. The ParishGames software, design, and original game content belong to Dashboard Executive, LLC. We license them to you to host games for your groups.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep ParishGames up, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change or improve features. If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will update the date on this page, and for a material change we will give reasonable notice where the law requires. If you do not agree, stop using the service. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance, except where consumer law says otherwise.

9. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy notice, including pageviews and usage analytics through Google Analytics 4, which may set cookies. Data-rights requests: the contact form.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows where you are not a protected consumer, ParishGames is provided as is. Dashboard Executive, LLC is not liable for content mistakes, downtime, lost boards on a device, or how a game is run in the room, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

EEA and UK consumers: we do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country. Your statutory rights for defective digital content remain.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Dashboard Executive, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would choose another law. If you live in the EEA or UK, you also keep the mandatory protections of your country and may bring a claim in its courts.

If a court strikes one clause, the rest still apply.

These terms are written in plain language so you can use ParishGames. They are not legal advice. See also the Privacy notice.
